Metamorphosis Mini Poster This educational poster includes 30 photos with commentary that highlight a monarch egg hatching, a caterpillar shedding its skin, the 5 instar stages, a caterpillar changing to a chrysalis, the changes in the chrysalis, and the butterfly emerging. Great for butterfly buffs. Perfect for teachers, clubs and monarch/butterfly buffs! When ordering, please specify if you want centered (frameable, fits nice in a plastic sleeve for a binder) or offset (so you can use a 3 hole punch or have it spiral bound). |
All posters have a white border. Small quantities will ship in a cardboard mailer. Larger quantities ship in a box.
Quantities of 1-24: I use 48lb. glossy paper, which is lighter weight than the paper I use for the giclee prints. These ususally ship within 3 business days of a cleared payment.
Quantities of 25 or more will be printed by a local printer, whose paper is a bit lighter than what I use. I do not keep inventory on these. The order is placed after I receive a cleared payment from you. Usually these can ship within a week of a cleared payment, but will depend on the printer’s schedule and holidays. I will keep you informed of your order.

Posters are printed by me on 6.5mil semi-gloss paper, which is lighter weight than the paper I use for the giclee prints. All posters have a white border. These posters ship rolled in a Priority tube.

Solar Peony Giclee Photo: I took this digital photo of a pink peony and a bumble bee with my Sony F828 using the solarized setting. I then took the photo and added more effects using my computer. It was shot specically for the EBSQ Peony show.

Giclee Photos: Giclee (zhee-clay) is a French word meaning a spray or a spurt of liquid. While any inkjet printer could fall in this category, some people say it has to be at least a 6 ink printer and others say the minimum is 8 inks. My printer has 9 inks. My photos are made on a museum quality high gloss photo paper using my professional giclee printer. According to the manufacturer, the prints have a life span of at least 105 years. The photos should be handled with care from the edges and should be kept away from heat, humidity and direct sunlight. All of the giclee photos are open edition (unlimited quantity).
DURABrite Photos: Were made on my old Epson printer. They are archival for 80+years. These photos are limited editions (limited quantity). When the editions have sold, no more will be printed. Technically, they are not giclees because they are 4 ink prints, but I am listing them here anyway.
Sizes: ACEO’s are trimmed to 2.5"x3.5". The other sizes are printed on oversized paper for easier handling and matting: 5"x7" image is printed on 5.5"x8.5" paper, and 8"x10" image is printed on 8.5"x11" paper. 5"x7" and 8.5"x11" photos have a white borders as shown. The borders do not show when matted.
Matting: none. Each is printed so image fits standard mat without losing important parts of the image. 5"x7" fits an 8"10" mat, 8"x10" fits an 11"x14" mat. Some matted photos maybe available on eBay or on Etsy.
Copyright Notice: on ACEO’s printed prior to 2008, the copyright is on the back of the ACEO. ACEO’s printed in 2008 and later have the copyright notice printed in the lower lefthand of the photo. Larger photos have the copyright notice printed outside the print area of the photo (does not show when matted).
